For the Glaze
  • 1/2 cup ketchup
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, onion, milk, ketchup, brown sugar, egg, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and Worcestershire sauce. Mix gently until evenly combined.
Baking
  1. Form the mixture into a loaf shape and place it in a baking dish. In another bowl, combine ketchup, brown sugar, and apple cider vinegar to make the glaze. Pour half of the glaze over the meatloaf and bake for 1 hour, basting with the remaining glaze halfway through.
Serving
  1. Once cooked, let the meatloaf rest for a few minutes before slicing. Serve warm for the best texture and flavor.

Notes

For extra flavor, add chopped bell peppers or grated carrots to the meat mixture. You can also make mini meatloafs using a muffin tin for quicker cooking.
