Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 2 lb boneless skinless chicken thighs (about 6–8 pieces)
  • Salt and black pepper To taste
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
Honey Garlic Sauce
  • ¼ cup honey
  • 3 tbsp low-sodium soy sauce Can substitute with tamari for gluten-free
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar (or apple cider vinegar)
  • 3–4 cloves garlic, minced
  • Optional: pinch of red pepper flakes For heat, adjust to preference

Method

Preparation
  1. Pat chicken dry. Season both sides with salt and pepper.
  2. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
Cooking
  1. Sear chicken for 5–6 minutes on the first side, then flip and cook for 4–6 minutes more until cooked through.
  2. Lower heat to medium. Add garlic and stir for 20–30 seconds (don’t burn it).
  3. Add honey, soy sauce, and vinegar.
  4. Let the sauce bubble for 2–4 minutes, spooning it over the chicken until it thickens and looks glossy.
  5. Rest for 2 minutes, then serve.

Notes

Pat the chicken dry to ensure it browns nicely. Don’t cook the garlic too long as it can turn bitter. If the sauce thickens too much, add 1–2 tbsp water and stir.
