  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce for glaze

Method

Preparation and Glaze
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine ground beef, onion, garlic, eggs, milk, breadcrumbs, ¼ cup ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper.
  3. Shape into a loaf and place in a greased loaf pan or on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  4. In a small saucepan, mix brown sugar, ½ cup ketchup, mustard, and Worcestershire sauce; heat until smooth to make the glaze.
Baking and Glazing
  1. Spoon half of the glaze over the meatloaf and bake for 40 minutes.
  2. Pour the remaining glaze over the top and bake for another 15–20 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (70°C).
Resting and Serving
  1. Let the meatloaf rest for 10 minutes before slicing.
  2. Serve warm, optionally garnished with chopped parsley.

Notes

For extra flavor, consider adding herbs like parsley or thyme to the meat mixture. If you want a moist meatloaf, do not over-mix the ingredients. Make sure to let the meatloaf rest after baking to allow the juices to redistribute.
