Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, combine ground beef, onion, garlic, eggs, milk, breadcrumbs, ¼ cup ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper.
- Shape the mixture into a loaf and place in a greased loaf pan or on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
- In a small saucepan, mix brown sugar, ½ cup ketchup, mustard, and Worcestershire sauce; heat until smooth to make the glaze.
Baking
- Spoon half of the glaze over the meatloaf and bake for 40 minutes.
- Pour the remaining glaze over the top and bake for another 15–20 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (70°C).
Serving
- Let the meatloaf rest for 10 minutes before slicing.
- Serve warm, optionally garnished with chopped parsley.
Notes
For extra flavor, consider adding herbs like parsley or thyme to the meat mixture. Ensure not to over-mix the ingredients for a moist meatloaf. Make sure to let it rest after baking to redistribute juices.
