  • 1 lb Lean Ground Turkey
  • 1 cup Breadcrumbs (whole-wheat for extra fiber)
  • 1/2 cup Milk (almond milk for dairy-free option)
  • 1/4 cup Ketchup (or BBQ sauce)
  • 1 medium Chopped Onion (or shallots)
  • 2 cloves Garlic (minced) (or garlic powder)
  • 1 large Egg (or flaxseed meal with water for egg-free)
  • 1 tsp Salt (adjust for lower sodium)
  • 1/2 tsp Black Pepper (adjust to taste)
  • 1 tsp Dried Oregano (or basil)
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire Sauce (or soy sauce)
  • 1 tbsp Mustard (optional)
  • 1/4 cup Extra Ketchup or BBQ Sauce (for glazing)

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine ground turkey, breadcrumbs, milk, ketchup, chopped onion, minced garlic, egg, salt, black pepper, oregano, Worcestershire sauce, and mustard. Mix until evenly blended.
Shaping & Glazing
  1. Shape the mixture into a loaf and place it in a greased baking dish.
  2. Spread extra ketchup or BBQ sauce over the top for a glaze.
Baking & Serving
  1. Bake for about 1 hour, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
  2. Let rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

Serve with mashed potatoes, roasted vegetables, or a fresh salad. Pairs well with gravy or extra ketchup for dipping.
